Chandigarh, July 8, 2015: Haryana Police has identified 237 children under ‘Operation Muskaan’ during the first week in Karnal Range and out of these identified children, 73 have been reunited with their parents. ‘Operation Muskaan’ has been launched to reunite the missing children with their parents.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that out of the total 237 children, 115 were identified by Karnal Police, 26 by Kurukshetra Police, 53 by Kaithal Police and 43 by Yamunanagar Police. He said that out of these children, 11 traced children have been reunited to their respective parents by Karnal Police, three by Kurukshetra police, 53 by Kaithal police and six by Yamunanagar Police.
The spokesman said that Inspector General of Police, Karnal Range, Mr. Hanif Qureshi has urged the people to inform the police control room, concerned Station House Officer or any other competent police officer if they come to know about any missing child so that such children could be reunited with their parents. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
