Chandigarh, July 8, 2015: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today said that as most of the pensions in the state were being distributed through Aadhaar card, the level of transparency has enhanced and about 10 to 20 per cent ineligible beneficiaries have been checked. The funds thus saved would benefit the eligible beneficiaries, he added.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing the people in Karnal, urged the people to make the best use of information technology as Haryana has already ranked number five in an era of information technology, whereas it was at 21st place during last year.
He said that now the eligible beneficiaries of old age allowance scheme would not face any difficulty in getting benefit of the social security pension as those who are 60 years or above would be able to fill up the new form supported by Aadhaar card. No such form would be accepted without the Aadhaar card. He also heard grievances of the people. He assured them that their grievances would be redressed on priority basis. He said that as the administration is being made more efficient, the pace of development has been accelerated. He said that soon 50,000 employees would be recruited for which applications were being sought. He assured that recruitment would be made in a transparent manner and only the eligible candidates would get employment.
The Chief Minister urged the people to give their support to the Digital India Programme initiated by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi. The state government is also taking steps to make the best of digital technology. The Haryana government has also started use of digital technology for e-disha, e-registration, CM Window, C-form and other 24 services. This will check corruption and ensure time-bound delivery of services. He said that as a result of this technology, the world has shrunk.
He said that public meetings were being held in all assembly constituencies on the demand of the legislators. In these public meetings, grants are being given for development works in constituencies. Till now such public meetings have been held in 30 assembly constituencies. He thanked the workers for their support during the rally addressed by National President of BJP Mr Amit Shah during the month of May when the temperature was as high as 47 degrees. He credited workers for the massive gathering at the rally.
