Veer Nari Conclave Held At Tibri Military Station

Jalandhar, July 4, 2015: A ‘Veer Nari’ Conclave was organized by Ravi Brigade on the conclusion of its 52nd Raising Day celebrations at Tibri Military Station on 03 Jul 15  . The event was graced by presence of Mrs Mala Thapa, Chairperson AWWA, Panther Division.

The Conclave was organized keeping in consonance with theme of Western Army Command 4S (Samman, Sahuliyat, Sehat aur Swabhimaan) approach to veterans. ‘Samman’ and ‘Swabhimaan’ are naturally bestowed upon the ‘Veer Naris’, they being held in very high esteem. The Conclave was based on the theme ‘Sehat’ and outreach was focussed on health,which was attented by 19 ‘Veer Naris’ Besides enhancing health awareness by way of interacting with lady doctor, each ‘Veer Nari’ was presented with a basic health monitoring kit that included a digital blood pressure measuring instrument, a blood sugar testing kit and a digital thermometer. Previously, the January 2015 Conclave had focussed on the theme of ‘Sahuliyat’, wherein a mobile phone was presented to each ‘Veer Nari’ to enable reaching out to them and being available to them in times of need.Welfare of  ‘Veer Naris’ as well as our veterans has always been at forefront of Ravi Brigade activities. Another project to further ‘Sahuliyat’ to them is presently taking shape.  Its aim is to provide a wholesome experience by transforming the CSD Canteen and converting it into a one stop for shopping and recreation coupled with beautiful ambience - one of its kind in Tibri and Gurdaspur.

After culmination of the Conclave, attendees were served refreshments and a reassurance that we are ‘Just a Call Away.’
