Jalandhar, July 4, 2015: ‘A Small Drop Of Blood – A Great Hope For Life’. Indian Army is the hope of the nation, delivering faultlessly whatever the nation has demanded of it. In the same vein, blood too being a hope for life, Ravi Brigade on 03 Jul 2015, seeking to do something meaningful on the conclusion of its 52nd Raising Day celebrations, decided to roll up its sleeves to donate blood, believing in the philosophy that blood is the best gift to give back. Accordingly, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at Tibri Military Station. The event was graced by the presence of the General Officer Commanding, Panther Division.
The Indian Army has been shedding its blood to safeguard our borders; and the Brigade in this unique way celebrated its Raising Day by saving lives through this noble gesture. The blood was donated to Civil Hospital, Gurdaspur. General Officer Commanding, Panther Division and all ranks of Ravi Bragade donated their blood. Primary aim of this camp was to instill a spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood between uniformed personnel and fellow citizens. Each donor was presented with a donor card and a donar badge in recognition of their noble deed.
