Jalandhar, May 29, 2015: Army’s Golden Arrow Division concluded the final series of ‘Exercise Agniban’ in Punjab on 28 May 15.
Over 15000 troops of all combat arms and the services participated in offensive manoeuvres wherein new concepts were validated. Integrated Combat elements of the Vajra Corps also participated in the exercise. The highlight of the exercise was the validation of the fighting ability of the Golden Arrow Division by Lieutenant General KJ Singh, Army Commander, Western Command alongwith special observers and experts.
The motivated troops exercised in a simulated and realistic battlefield environment wherein new concepts at tactical and operational level were validated for fighting a successful war in a synergised manner. All elements of command combat decision making and information warfare were activated.
The Army Commander witnessed the culmination of the exercise and was briefed by GOC of the Golden Arrow Division. The Army Commander reviewed integrated operational manoeuvres, including insertion of heli-borne and Special Forces and expressed his satisfaction and confidence in the troops for resolutely facing any challenges in war.
