Chandigarh, May 25, 2015: Haryana police has succeeded in arresting a notorious criminal namely Surender alias Sunda, a resident of village Dadri Toy, district Jhajjar, who had been carrying an award of Rs two lakh on his head. He was arrested along with four members of his gang from village Sultanpur, district Gurgaon today.
While giving this information, a spokesman of the Police Department said that police has received information that Surender and his gang members are traveling from Jhajjar to Gurgaon and they are carrying weapons with them. Following the tip off, the police set up checkpost at village Sultanpur where an Xcent car carrying five persons and bearing registration number DL-9SAK-6939 arrived. They were unable to produce papers of the car and during checking weapons were recovered from the car which included four country-made pistols, three country-made revolvers, ten live cartridges and one shell.
The spokesman said that other members of the gang have been identified as Vipin alias Samrat, Amardeep alias Chinu, Sandeep alias Teenu and Ravi Dutt alias Dillu, all residents of district Jhajjar.
He said that a number of cases are registered against the prime accused Surender in various police stations of the state which also included some murder cases. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
