E-office system being implemented by Haryana Government in phased manner

Chandigarh, May 25, 2015: E-office system is being implemented by Haryana Government in a phased manner so as to make its offices paperless.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that in the first phase the offices of Chief Minister, Industrial Training Minister, Principal Secretary Industrial Training, Directorate of Industrial Training, Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) at Panchkula, Kaithal, Rohtak and Ambala City shall have e-office system. Subsequently all ITI’s in the State shall also have this modern system. E-office system would be fully operational within six month.

He said that among the Government Departments, Haryana Industrial Training Department is all set to become first paperless Department in the State. Principal Secretary, Industrial Training Department Mr Anil Kumar has been reviewing the progress of e-office system on day-to-day basis. He said that Mr Anil Kumar    is of the view that implementation of e-office system in Industrial Training Department would considerably improve working of the department.

The spokesman said that the progress for the implantation of e-office system is already in advance stage. National Informatics Centre (NIC), and National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) are providing software and training to the officers of the Department and Directorate. The department has already deposited Rs 26 lakh with NICSI for procuring software and expertise. Both NIC and NICSI have a key role in the implementation of e-office system in the department. State Data Centre, Haryana has provided servers for the project. Till the project becomes fully operational, the NICSI would provide programmers and other technical staff for the implantation of e-office system. There are more than 4000 employees in the department.

The Department of Industrial Training   is imparting vocational and skill training through a network of 143 Government and 115 Private Industrial Training Institutes, seating capacity in Govt. and Pvt. ITI’s is more than 60,000. The main objective of the department is to provide technical and vocational education in the State   to reduce unemployment among the youth and also provide skilled manpower for industries and self employment.

He said that for the implementation of e-office system, the department has already prepared its employees’ master detail and hardware detail for gap analysis. Issuance of Digital Signature Certificate has also been processed.

He said that two officers of the department namely Mr Manoj Saini, Assistant Director (Tech.) and Mr Vishal Sodhi, Assistant Director(Tech.) have undergone e-office  administrative training organised at NICSI, New Delhi. Mr. Ganesh Dutt, Technical Director, NIC Chandigarh also attended the said training programme. / (SK Vyas, jalandhar)
