New Delhi, November 26, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Chief Office Superintendent (Bills Section), South Central Railways, Secunderabad for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 from the Complainant.
A case was registered U/s 7 of P.C.Act 1988, against Chief Office Superintendent (Bills Section), South Central Railways, Secunderabad. It was alleged that the accused demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 20,000 from the Complainant for reducing the over-paid deduction from the salary and also for not initiating any recommendation to take action as he had received over-payment. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.5,000 as first instalment out of total amount of Rs.20,000. The accused was produced before the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Hyderabad and remanded to custody.
In another case, CBI has arrested a Senior Assistant working in the office of Provident Fund, Nizamabad (Telangana) in a bribery case.
A case was registered U/s 7 of P.C. Act 1988, against a Senior Assistant, Provident Fund Office, Nizamabad (Telangana) on the complaint alleging demand of Rs.6,000 as bribe for clearing P.F. amount. CBI laid a trap and the Senior Assistant was caught red-handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.6,000 from the Complainant. The accused was produced before the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Hyderabad and remanded to Judicial custody upto November 30, 2014.
