KHATTAR TO OFFICERS: Take up construction of western Bye-pass from Madhuban to Uchani village on priority basis

New Delhi, November 26, 2014: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar directed the concerned officers to take up the construction of western Bye-pass from Madhuban to Uchani village on priority basis so as to decongestant the city from traffic.

He was reviewing the progress of announcement made by him recently for the district at Karnal today.

In the meeting, Engineering-in-Chief, Public Works, Building and Roads Department Mahesh Kumar apprised the Chief Minister that for the construction of Bye-pass, there were two proposals under National Highway Development Project (NHDP) Phase-7. One is from Badli to Munak alongwith Western Yamuna Canal and another is from Madhuban to village Pecholia. He said that an amount of about Rs 200 crore is expected to be incurred on this 44 kilometer long project under which, there was also a proposal to construct two Railway-over-Bridges. He informed the Chief Minister that prior approval of Ministry of Railways is required for construction of byepass from Madhuban to village Pecholia. On this, Manohar Lal assured  its  approval  from the Union Railway Minister  Suresh Prabhu  who is going to be  Rajya Sabha Member from Haryana.

The Chief Minister was apprised that for the permanent solution for improving drainage system of Karnal town, drainage project would be laid on the Mughal Canal upto Merrut road at a cost of Rs 11 crore. For this, Detail Project Report (DPR) is in progress for sewerage system in new colonies and new Municipal limits. He was informed that 29 acres of land has been identified on National Highway (NH)-1 and Indri Road for the construction of new bus stand. This area would also be used for workshop, driving training school etc.

In the meeting, he was also informed that for making the registration of properties in Tehsil to be more transparent and citizen friendly and setting up of CM window at each district head quarter, software is being developed at State Headquarter level. He was also informed that the work of shifting of old sabji mandi to a new place is in progress.

Minister of State for Food and Supplies Karan Dev Kamboj, MLA Gharaunda  Harinder Kalyan, MLA Nilokheri Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, MLA Assandh Bakshish Singh, Deputy Commissioner J. Ganeshan, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Garg and other senior officers of various departments were also present in the meeting.
