New Delhi, March 5, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Bench Officer of Board for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) New Delhi; Managing Director & Chief Finance Officer both of Mumbai based private company and a Delhi based middleman in a bribery case of Rs. 10 Lakh.
A case has been registered U/s. 120-B of IPC and Section 7,8,9,12 & 13 (2) r/w 13 (1)(d) of PC Act1988 against one officer of the Board for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), New Delhi; five private persons, including one Delhi based middleman & officials of a Mumbai based private company and unknown others on the allegations that the officials of the said company were paying illegal gratification for getting a favourable order from BIFR. The private company of Mumbai was producing Nylon & Chemicals and declared allegedly sick by BIFR.
Searches were conducted at eight places in Delhi and Mumbai, which yielded the recovery of an alleged bribe amount of Rs. 10 Lakh and incriminating documents including electronic records, etc. from the premises of the accused persons.
