Dharamsala, January 17, 2014: The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama returned back to Dharamsala on Thursday after completing teachings, lectures and pilgrimage in New Delhi, Bangalore, Bylakupee Tibetan settlement, Cimbatore, Bhandara Tibetan settlement, Nagpur and Raipur. Dalai Lama was received at the Gaggal Airport on Thursday by Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the Tibetan PM Lobsang Sangay, representatives of the various NGOs here.
The Tibetan leader visited the Bishop Cotton High School and Christ University where he delivered lectures on "Bounds of Ethics in a Globalized World”. He gave ten-day teachings on Lamrim. The Tibetan leader then travelled to Coimbatore where he participated in Swami Vivekananda Commemorations and then headed to Bhandara Tibetan settlement where he met the local Tibetan settlers.
Dalai Lama concluded his tour with a visit to Raipur where he inaugurated the National Seminar on the Philosophy of Nagarjuna at Pt. Ravishankar Shulkla University in Raipur, Chattisgarh on January 13.
At the end of this month, the Tibetan leader will travel to Guwahati in Assam where he will inaugurate the first ever Festival of Tibetan Culture in the city that is often referred to as the gateway to the north eastern states. He will also visit Shillong where a sizable number of Tibetans live, and give discourse on Tibetan Buddhism.
