New Delhi/Jalandhar, January 3, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet against the then Branch Manager, The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh) in the Court of Special Judge for CBI cases, Indore U/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 IPC and Sec. 13 (2) r/w 13 (1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for causing loss of about Rs.16.67 lakh.
A case was registered on 16/07/2013 U/s 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC and Sec.13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act 1988 against the then Branch Manager, The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., Mandsaur(MP) on the allegations that during the period 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12, the Branch Manager sanctioned & settled 68 Cattle Insurance Claims to the tune of about Rs.16,67,750 on the basis of forged & fabricated death certificates of cattle and siphoned off the claimed amount of Rs.16,67,750.
After completion of investigation, a chargesheet was filed.
