Dharamsala, July 6, 2013: There is moderate to heavy rainfall in the entire Himachal Pradesh for the past 36 hours.
Dharamshala experienced very heavy rain in the early hours of Saturday morning. The wet weather is still continuing. The Met Department say that Monsoon is very active in the state during last 36 hours, and precipitation occurred at many places with isolated very heavy falls in the Kangra district particularly. The other more affected districts are, Mandi and Una in Himachal Pradesh during last 24 hours.
Palampur recorded the maximum of rain in past 24 hour with 134mm of precipitation , followed by Jogindernagar-128, Baijnath-120, Amb-86, Dharamshala-65, Jhandutta-47, Renuka-43, Paonta Sahib-38, Kheri-35, Ghamroor-34, Bajura(Agri)-25, Nahan & Bhuntar-24 each, Guler-23,Sujanpur Tira-20,Bhoranj-16 and Banjar-14 mm of rain.
Rain and thundershowers are predicted in almost entire state for the next 7 days. .
