Shimla, August 8, 2015: Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh has directed all the Deputy Commissioners, Police/ Home Guards and all concerned departments to be vigilant in wake of heavy rainfall and incidents of recent landslides and flash floods in the State. Terming the flash flood incident of Dharampur in Mandi district as unfortunate, the Chief Minister directed the district administration to carry out adequate measures in providing relief and rescue to the people of the area and to compensate the affected as per relief manual.
He said that it was distressing that the public property in Dharampur suffered heavy loss due to floods in Son river following heavy rainfall. He also directed the district administration to sound alarm for the people so as they do not venture along river beds and flooded rivulets or nullahs.
