Chandigarh, August 3, 2015: Haryana Agriculture Minister, Mr.O.P.Dhankar said that farmers would be motivated to cultivate crops like Soybean so as to enable them to improve their financial condition.
Mr.Dhankar said this during his visit to Soyabean Research Centre , Indore today. He said that he was keen to explore possibilities of bring more area under cultivation of Soybean in the state. Also, he visited Mandi in, Indore to take detailed information about sale and purchase of various varieties of Soybean.
Mr. Dhankar said that usually Soybean does not need irrigation during Kharif season. Though, irrigation could be applied if the weather is dry during growth of beans. He said that if Soybean crop is sown by using all techniques and best varieties then an average production of 30-35 kg per hectare could be yielded. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
