Shimla, July 27, 2015: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh has condemned the terrorist attack on Police Station at Dinanagar in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. He said such cowardly and inhumane activities by terrorists won’t be tolerated. This is an attack on the Nation and such inhumane and heinous activities would be dealt with sternly.
He expressed grief over the death of police officials and civilians killed in the attack. He said that high alert had been sounded in Himachal Pradesh and direction had been issued to the police and administration to keep strict vigil across borders.
The Chief Minster appealed to the people to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
Meanwhile, DGP Shri Sanjay Kumar said that the State security agencies were keeping strict vigil at all public and religious places. High alert has been sounded in the border areas of Chamba district adjoining Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
