Chandigarh, July 19, 2015: Haryana Government has decided to conduct survey of unauthorised colonies situated within the municipal limits in the State. The survey will be based on certain parameters.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that for conducting the survey, the concerned municipality or Corporation will engage the survey agencies at their own level. The report would be supplied in one soft copy and two hard copy of each colony.
He said that this survey would be conducted where construction has been undertaken on more than 50 per cent plots prior to March 31,2015.A resolution to this effect should have been passed by the concerned municipality recommended by the concerned Divisional Commissioner in case of a Municipal Corporation and the Deputy Commissioner in case of municipal council or committee. The survey would be conducted in areas where the provisions of Land Acquisition Act, Forest Conservation Act, Environment Protection Act, Work of Defence Act and Indian Electricity Act have not been violated. The land should not be owned by State and Central Government, Boards, Corporation or Public Sector Undertaking.
While referring to other parameters, he said that such areas should not have industrial unit, commercial building, mall, multiplex, hotel and banquet hall. He said that the municipality or Corporation will certify that the fire tender vehicle is accessible to all the houses in the colony. The survey should be completed and the report would be submitted within a period of three months.The survey plan of unauthorized colony will be prepared on a scale of 1:1000. The survey plan would be super imposed on shajra plan and satellite imaginary of the area indicating name of the revenue estates. The location of the colony would be shown on the copy of the latest development plan of the town. A soft copy of autocad drawing might also be sent.
He said that the extent of area in acre alongwith khasra No., clearly indicating the boundary of the colony with dimensions and use of the plots would be mentioned. The boundary of each colony should be contiguous; existing street pattern of the colony alongwith width of each street. The built up plots and vacant plots or area should be distinctly marked on the plans.The existing services, if any, like roads, water supply line, drainage, electricity, street lights and sewerage, would be shown on the plan. Existing community facilities, if any, that is park, school, dispensary, temple, community centre would be shown on the plan. High tension line or Gas pipelines, if any, passing through the colony would be shown on the plan.
