Chandigarh, May 27, 2015: Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij has warned those indulged in selling adulterated food items to desist from playing with the lives of people otherwise stern action would be taken against such defaulters.
He said that State Government is committed for providing healthy food items to all and adulteration in eatables would not be tolerated.He said that under a special drive, Haryana Food and Drug Administration has conducted raids in all districts in the state and has collected 164 samples of different food items.
He said that such steps would help in providing healthy eatables to the people. He said that raids have been conducted at bus stands, restaurants, canteens and other places in all districts where samples of patty, cold drink, samosa, bread pakora, mango-tree, jumpin mango punch, bottled water, sweets and other eatables have been collected.
Mr. Vij said that under the special drive launched to provide healthy food items, 14 samples have been collected in Ambala, five each in, Sonipat, Jind and Faridabad, six in Fatehabad, two in Gurgaon, seven in Hisar, seven in Kaithal, 40 in Karnal, 20 samples in Kurukshetra, one in Mewat, eight in Narnaul, four in Palwal, 15 in Panchkula, six each in Panipat and Rewari, nine in Sirsa and four samples have been collected in Yamunanagar district./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
