New Delhi, May 5, 2015: Congress Deputy Leader Capt Amarinder Singh today moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha seeking discussion on the collapse of law and order situation in Punjab in the backdrop of recent incident of molestation and pushing down of a Dalit girl from a running Orbit bus owned by the Badals, that led to her death.
Making a strong point in the Lok Sabha during the Zero Hour, Capt Amarinder asserted that Punjab was a fit case for the President’s rule as the law and order had collapsed and it was only the “Badal Parivar ki Beopar Sarkar” there.
He listed several instances, at least ten, involving the buses of Orbit Aviation owned by the ruling Badal family and all the culprits going scot-free. He said, the Moga incident where a Dalit girl was molested and pushed off from an Orbit bus was the culmination of all these incidents. He said, Badals owning the Orbit Aviations, which operates a fleet of about 500 buses, was a clear case of conflict interest.
He also gave the breakup of the incidents involving the Orbit buses.
