HARCOBank signed MoU with LIC for Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana

Chandigarh, May 5, 2015: Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation Bikram Singh Yadav on Monday said that all saving bank account holders of the Haryana State Coop.Apex Bank (HARCOBANK) as well as District Central Coop.Banks now under Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana would get insurance benefit of Rs 2 lakh each. This scheme will be launched   by the Central Government from June 1, 2015.
Yadav said that the beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana would have to pay Rs 330 per year. In this scheme, all saving bank account holders of the Bank between the age of 18 to 50 years, whose accounts are Aadhar linked would be covered. In case of death due to any reason, the nominee or legal heir would be entitled for Rs.2 lakh.
Similarly, under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the beneficiary would have to pay a nominal premium of Rs 12 per year. All saving bank account holders of the Bank between the age of 18 to 70 years whose accounts are Aadhar linked would be covered. In case of death due to accident or disability, the nominee or legal heir would be entitled for Rs 2 lakh.
Yadav said that for this HARCOBank has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Life Insurance Corporation for Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana and with New India Assurance Company Ltd. for Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
