New Delhi, March 13, 2015: The Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has said that a dry port would soon be set up for which the state government would allot land near any railway station. It will help in agricultural produce and products reaching the port through the dry-port, and benefit the farmers immensely.
The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after going round the three-day Haryana Agri Leadership Summit, 2015, in Gurgaon, today.
Asked about procurement of wheat in the state, the Chief Minister said that five agencies of the the state government would purchase wheat. “Every single grain of wheat would be procured for the benefit of the farmers, and they would not face any difficulty in marketing their produce”, he added.
The economic development of Haryana depends on agriculture and the development of agriculture will improve the lot of the farmers. It is with this end in view that the three-day Haryana Agri Leadership Summit has been organized. It would help in increasing both productivity and income of the farmers and facilitate better marketing of their produce.
