“Directionally, the budget is in the right path as going by the spirit of federalism. The sharing of higher taxes with states and making them more accountable for regional growth is a welcome move.
More importantly, expanding the social security net to poor by incentivising pension, insurance, health, housing and sanitation the government has laid the path for more inclusive growth in days to come. We have also seen reasonable push in infrastructure. However, a little more could have been done on incentivising the household savings which has been falling in recent years. Overall this budget is futuristic in vision and realistic in numbers.”
