Dharamsala, January 24, 2015: The Himachal Pradesh Government hosted a farewell dinner for the outgoing Governor Urmila Singh at Peterhoff Hotel in Shimla on Friday evening.
Urmila Singh is completing her term as Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
The departure programme of Urmila Singh, Governor, after completing her five year term as Governor of Himachal Pradesh, scheduled for January 27 has been preponed due to inclement weather conditions, A Spokesman of Raj Bhawan disclosed this today.
The Governor will now proceed onwards from Shimla on January 26 at 5 PM immediately after ‘At Home’ function at Raj Bhawan.
On Friday at the farewell dinner Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his Cabinet colleagues, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, Lokayukta, Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, DGP and other senior officers of the State Government were also present amongst others.
The Chief Minister also honoured the Governor on the occasion.
A colourful cultural programme was also presented on the occasion.
