New Delhi, November 6, 2014: Furla announced the opening of a new store in New Delhi, one of the most important international fashion and luxury capitals of India.

The launch event was hosted by Sanjay Kapoor with the Furla global CEO, Eraldo Poletto. Graced by the crème-de-la-crème of Delhi society, amidst the notable were Harmeet Bajaj, Alpana Gujral, Sandeep Jajodia, Suneet Verma, Atul & Sonu Wasan, Nandini Bhalla, Nishat Fatima and Neelima Dalmia Adhar.

The boutique measures over 563 square feet area on a unique floor, and was restyled to valorize the entire Furla universe, the brand’s creative spirit and sophisticated style.

Among the notable aesthetic features of the interiors are the architectural elements inspired by the beautifully restored 18th century Villa in Bologna, which currently houses the company’s headquarters. Blending tradition with modernity, the space is imbued with natural tones and pastel shades, accented with soft and warm lighting and forged from valuable materials such as rosewood and Italian travertine marble, opalescent glass and brass finishing.

As part of Furla’s international expansion, New Delhi’s new opening follows the strategic transition “from market to consumer” embraced by the company, focusing on the local consumer’s penchants and growing desire for premium brands that offer a luxurious shopping experience at a value for money.

In line with Furla’s new store concept, the collections are displayed in a refined and intimate setting giving prominence to the handbag collections, but also maximizing the emphasis on small leather goods and lifestyle accessories. An extensive range of iconic products, which exquisitely combine style, functionality, price and reliability.

Furla’s CEO, Eraldo Poletto, comments, “Along with Mumbai and Kolkata stores, this is our third retail location in India, one of the countries with the highest potential of growth for the brand. The Indian economy is ready and mature to keep on absorbing fashion & luxury products and, as a brand that underscores the values of quality and contemporary design, ensuring timeless elegance and the made in Italy expertise, we are confident we will experience an excellent performance in the country”.
