Jalandhar, November 5, 2014: Air Force Station Barnala is celebrating its golden Jubilee on 7th Nov 14 on completion of its 50 glorious years of operation. The station came into being on 05 Oct 1964 and since existence Air Force Station Barnala has displayed extreme sense of valour, zeal and professionalism in all the operations it has undertaken over a period of time. To mark this jubilant occasion the station is celebrating its golden jubilee, which began with the cycle expedition from Barnala to Kasauli covering a distance of 260 Km on 08 Oct 14, Air Force Day.
To mark the triumphant journey of the station the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC will be arriving on 07 Nov 14 to further the morale of air warriors. The celebration will also include the fly past by IAF Fighter aircraft and display of courage and enthusiasm in air by the Akash Ganga sky diving team. The merriment will continue with social evening along with Air Officer Commanding in Chief of Western Air Command and Air Defence Commander along with the veterans of Air Force Station Barnala.
