New Delhi, October 30, 2014: Haryana Government has decided to observe October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) across the state.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that on this occasion, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal would associate with the celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Chandigarh. Similarly, the Union Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh and Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Narbir Singh would associate in the celebrations at Gurgaon.
He said that Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Krishna Pal would remain present at Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at Faridabad. Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma and Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu would remain present at Narnaul and Jind respectively on this occasion. Similarly, Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar would attend Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Jhajjar and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Kavita Jain at Sonipat.
He said that Minister of State for Cooperation Bikram Singh Yadav, Minister of State for Social Welfare Krishan Bedi and Minister of State for Food and Supplies Karan Dev Kamboj would associate on this occasion at Rewari, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar respectively.
Similarly, MLA Kanwar Pal Gujjar would present on the occasion of celebrations at Ambala, Gian Chand Gupta at Panchkula, Manish Grover at Rohtak, Ghanshyam Dass at Bhiwani, Kamal Gupta at Hisar, Subhash Barala at Sirsa, Bishamber Singh at Fatehabad, Pawan Saini at Kaithal, Subhash Sudha at Rai, Mool Chand Sharma at Palwal, Mahipal Dhanda at Panipat and Tejpal Tawar at Mewat.
