Ferozepur, April 10, 2014: The Border Security Force personnel have recovered two kilogram contraband from BOP J R Hithar, Ferozepur Sector along with three Pakistani SIM Cards at a distance of approximate 150 meters from the International Boundary. The cost of this consignment is about Rs.10 crore in the International Market.
A K Sharma, DIG, BSF, Ferozepur sector said the troops deployed at BOP J R Hithar found some apprehensive movement at Indian Side of fencing during the wee hours and challenged the miscreants. Two or three persons, suspected to be the drug paddlers, did not respond. The BSF troops fired two rounds on them but somehow they managed to flee taking cover of darkness and standing wheat crops. During search, the BSF troops found two packets of heroin along with three Pakistani sim cards of various companies.
