Ludhiana, January 13, 2014: National Youth Project (NYP) founder president Dr SN Subbarao has hoped that the ongoing 18th National Youth Festival would further strengthen unity and integrity of the country.
Dr Subbarao who has specially arrived here to attend the ongoing national event told a select of media persons here today that there prevailed unity despite a variety of languages and religions across the country. This was the major strength of nation, he added.
He was hopeful that the ongoing national event would spread a message of unity through the youths across the country. He added thousands of the young boys and girls were participating in the event and all of them would return to their respective states after getting a message of unity. He opined that communal harmony and open heart could only lead to the unity, gun was not necessary for the unity.
To a question, he told that there had been taking place a change in the mindset of the youths across the country. This change had led to the change of the government in Delhi recently, he said, adding this was mere a beginning.
On being asked as to what kind of the next prime minister should be, he told that a person totally against communal violence and corruption should be the next prime minister. Besides, the leader to be the next prime minister should not be greedy. That leader should also have the capacity of making the nation free from drug menace.

When asked about his opinion of the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh remarks that Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would be “disastrous” for the countryever becomesthe PM, Dr Subbarao said some people look something else but they were some else in actual.
