New Delhi/Jalanshar, September 17, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed two charge sheets in the Court of Principal Special Judge for CBI cases, Hyderabad.
The first chargesheet has been filed against a Director based at Hyderabad & his Bangalore based private company; two Chartered Accountants of Hyderabad; CMD & his four Hyderabad based private companies; former Secretary IT&C Department of Andhra Pradesh Govt.; Former Minister for IT of Andhra Pradesh; Former CMD Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. (APIIC); Former Advisor of APIIC; CMD & his Hyderabad based private company U/s 120-B r/w 409, 420, 468, 471, 477-A of IPC and U/s 9, 11, 12, 13(2) r/w 13 (1) (c) & (d) of PC Act 1988. It has been alleged that favours were shown to Hyderabad based private company in the form of allotment of 250 Acres of land at Shamshabad and quid–pro-quo investments thereof to the tune of about Rs.15 crores in Bangalore based private firm owned by its Director based at Hyderabad.
The second chargesheet has been filed against the Private Person based at Hyderabad & his Hyderabad based private Publication Company; Chartered Accountant of Hyderabad; Managing Director & his Hyderabad based private company; another MD & his Hyderabad based private company; an IAS, former CMD of APIIC Ltd., Hyderabad; an IAS, former Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department of Andhra Pradesh; a Minister for Major Industries of Andhra Pradesh; an IAS, former Principal Secretary of A.P Govt.; former Minister for Revenue Department of Andhra Pradesh; former ED, APIIC Ltd. and a private person of Bangalore U/s 120-B r/w 409, 420, 468, 471, 477-A of IPC and U/s 9, 11, 12, 13(2) r/w 13 (1) (c) & (d) of the PC Act, 1988. It has been alleged that favours were shown to Hyderabad based private company in the form of allotment of land to the extent of 8,844 Acres in Ananthapur District and quid-pro-quo investments thereof to the tune of about Rs.50 crores in Hyderabad based private Publications Company owned by Private Person based at Hyderabad.
The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
