New Delhi/Jalandhar, August 22, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an absconding accused ( who is also a self-styled leader of a Nagaland based outfit) at Jorhat (Assam) in a case relating to alleged murder of W.Rajkumar, the then Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh in the year 2007.
The arrest was made based on an intelligence input from a sister agency and with the active cooperation of State Police.
After investigation, CBI filed a charge sheet in the case U/s 120B /302/307 IPC and Sec. 25 (IA) (IB) & 27(2)(3) Arms Act and 16 & 18 of UA (P) Act showing the accused as an absconder.
The arrested accused was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Jorhat (Assam) and was remanded on transit remand of five (5) days for production before Trial Court in Arunachal Pradesh.
