Chandigarh, July 8, 2013: The Punjab Government came to the rescue of Avtar Singh who was deeply wounded in Uttarakhand floods today discharged from PGI after his total recovery.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that Avtar Singh of village Rurky Kham district SAS Nagar was badly wounded in the natural calamity struck Uttarakhand. He said that Avtar singh was on religious tour to Hemkunt Sahib when the furious flood hit the hill state. Avtar singh got fractured his arm and leg in the calamity. He said that the family of Avtar singh contacted the Punjab Government for help. The Punjab Government immediately jump into action and got the wounded Avtar singh admitted in the PGI.
He further said that the Punjab Government borne the total expenditure on the treatment of Avtar singh where he was admitted since twenty days. He totally recovered his injuries and today reached home hale and hearty.
