Jalandhar, June 19, 2013: BJP national executive member Manoranjan Kalia, MLA, has urged upon the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to announce natural disaster in Uttrakhand as national calamity.
In a statement here on Wednesday, he added the Centre should dispatch additional funds to deal with the situation and similarly announce Rs 5 lacks to the next kin of the deceased who lost their lives in the natural disaster.
He has also sought that the relief work be geared up and necessary medicines and team of specialised doctors be rushed to Uttrakhand.
