Jalandhar,June 6, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi against two private persons; and official of a Switzerland-based defense firm for offences punishable u/s 120-B PIC r/w Section 8 of P.C. Act, 1988.
In a statement issued here today by the Spokesperson CBI (HQ) New Delhi, said that a case was registered by CBI on June 5, 2012 on the allegation that a Switzerland based defense firm was recommended for blacklisting and the process of the same was underway.
Meanwhile, a private person got in touch with the firm and assured them for stalling the process of blacklisting.
For this purpose, he allegedly obtained gratification of USD 5,30,000 which was routed to India via a USA-based firm.
After thorough investigation, CBI sleuths filed a Charge sheet.
The spokesperson made it clear that the public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial, he concluded.
