Jalandhar, June 5, 2013: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Development Officer (Marketing), Oriental Insurance Company Limited, CBO-III, Akashdeep Building, Transport Nagar, Jaipur U/s 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and section 13 (2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988 for allegedly causing loss of about Rs. 27.06 lakhs to the company.
In a statement issued here today, It was alleged by the spokesperson of the CBI (HQ) that the FIR, that during the period 2004 to 2006, the Development Officer(Marketing) had abused his official position and thereby created & operated a dummy agency under agency code number 309/1100.
He used this dummy agency to divert the direct business procured by him for the company into this agency. He dishonestly and fraudulently obtained wrongful gain of Rs.27,06,427 in the form of commissions, thus causing corresponding wrongful loss to the company.
Searches were conducted by the CBI sluths on Jun 4.2013, at his residential premise in Anand Vihar, Jagatpura, Jaipur and office chamber at City Branch Office-III, OICL, Transport Nagar, Jaipur. During the course of searches, incriminating documents pertaining to various allegations in the case; investments made by him and expenditure statements belonging to him have been recovered.
