236 mm rainfall in a single night in Dharamshala

Dharamshala, August 12, 2015: Heavy rain lashed in many  parts of Himachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours, as the monsoon continue its fury in this hill state. Dharamshala was drenched with 236 mm rain (a maximum in a night in this city during the ongoing rainy season), while  Palampur (a close to Dharamshala) had 141 mm during the same period, followed byNahan-106, Kheri-91, Gohar-75, Jogindernagar-74, Gaggal-66, Kotkhai-64, Jubbal-58, Mandi-49, Pandoh-47, Baijnath-44, Bijahi-40, Paonta-36, Kumarsain-35, Sirmaur-34, Khadrala-31, Renuka-30, Bajaura-26, Nurpur-24, Kullu-22, Sarahan-20, Mashobra-17, Jubbarhatti-16, Bangana & Dalhausie-14 and Baldwara & Rohru-12 each.
The Met office in the state said that a fresh western disturbance (W.D.) as an upper air trough in mid tropospheric westerlies runs roughly along Longitude 65°E and north of Latitude 30°N, which may cause medium to heavy rain with thunders at many  places of the state in the next 6 days upto August 18.
The Met office also said that there is no appreciable change in Minimum & Maximum temperatures during last 24 hours.
The Lowest temperature recorded was at Kalpa 14.4°C and Highest at Berthin 34.20C, Manali recorded a low of 13 degree followed by Keylong 14.5, Dalhousie 15.2, Shimla 15.7, Dharamsala 16.2, Palampur 19, Solan 19.5, Una 20.1, Bhuntar 20.5, Nahan 21.3 and Sundernagar 22.6 degrees Celsius.
