Chandigarh, July 30, 2015: Former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today spoke to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh about the injured and missing pilgrims from Punjab whose bus met with an accident and was washed away in a flooded river as they were on their way to Manikaran Sahib.
The pilgrims were mainly from the districts of Mansa and Barnala in Punjab. He sought HP CM’s personal intervention in locating the missing people as their kith and kin were concerned and worried about their fate.
Capt Amarinder said, Mr Singh assured him that all measures were being taken to ensure that the missing pilgrims were traced and those injured were provided proper medical treatment. He said, the HP CM was equally concerned and said, special teams had been set up to trace the pilgrims.
