NHRDN announces its new National President for period 2015-17

Mumbai, July 29, 2015: National HRD Network (NHRDN), the national apex body of HR professionals announced the appointment of Mr.K.Ramkumar as its new National President. The appointment will take place with immediate effect. He succeeds Mr. Rajeev Dubey, Group President - HR & Corporate Services & CEO, After Market and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra. Mr. Ramkumar will lead the organisation’s mission by working with a highly experienced and dedicated team of senior officials thus building the HR ethos and managerial excellence in India.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. K. Ramkumar, National President, NHRDN said, “I accept this honour with deep gratitude. It is an immense responsibility and I eagerly await the journey ahead. I look forward to engaging with all the members of NHRDN regularly. Together, I hope to bring about positive changes in HR practices in the country.”
PROFILE
Mr. K. Ramkumar is an Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Bank and the President of ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth. He joined the Board of ICICI Bank on February 1, 2009. Prior to joining ICICI Bank in 2001, Mr. Ramkumar served in companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics, Brooke Bond Lipton India Limited (now Hindustan Unilever Limited) and ICI India Ltd. He worked in these companies in the areas of Human Resources Management and Manufacturing. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Madras School of Social Work.
Mr. Ramkumar is passionate about leadership development, succession management, building a supply chain for the Bank’s human resources requirements, leveraging technology to innovate and driving operational excellence to achieve world class service quality.
At ICICI Bank, Mr. Ramkumar conceived and nurtured the Institute for Finance, Banking & Insurance and the ICICI Manipal Academy for Banking & Insurance. He nurtured the partnership initiatives with SEBI – National Institute for Securities Management and with NIIT - the NIIT University. Mr. Ramkumar led the CSR project of ICICI Foundation on skilling youth and promoting livelihood. This is done under the ICICI Academy for Skills initiative, which has 11 centres across India. Over 11,000 underprivileged youth have been trained at the ICICI Academy of Skills as of March 31, 2015.
