Shimla, July 14, 2015: A deputation of Forest Development Corporation led by its Vice Chairman Shri Kewal Singh Pathania called on Forest Minister Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri . Shri Pathania urged the Minister to take effective steps to check monkey menace so that crops of the farmers could be protected. He also presented a memorandum in this regard.
Expressing his concern over the monkey menace, Forest Minister directed the Wild life wing of Forest Department to organize two days workshop on this problem. He said that MLAs, members of Municipal Corporation and Panchayat Samitis, panchayat representatives, law experts, representatives of agriculturists and horticulturists should be invited to give their suggestions so that effective strategy could be chalked out to check the monkey menace.
Shri Bharmouri also directed the department to remove the trees felled on the roads due to heavy rains so that people could not face any inconvenience.
