Dr Atwal during his visit at Hyderabad met Naidu

Chandigarh, June 2, 2015: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal, during his visit at Hyderabad met the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu alongwith the deputation of All India Bhagwan Valmiki Foundation. On this occasion General Secretary of the Foundation Shri N.R. Narain was also with Dr. Atwal.  During the meeting Dr. Atwal expressed his gratefulness to Mr. Naidu for including a proposal in Telugu Desam Party Election Manifesto for recommending to the Government to include the Valmiki Community in Scheduled Tribes. Recently Mr. K. Sreenivasulu M.L.A also raised the same issue in the concluded session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly and happy to note that by and large Valmiki Community had been supporting the Telugu Desam Party right from its inception.
Dr. Atwal on behalf of Valmiki Community was thankful for choosing Mr. Kalava Sreenivasulu as Government Chief Whip.  He requested the Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr. Naidu to kindly recommend to the Government of India for removal of area restrictions and treating community as Scheduled Tribes throughout state of Andhra Pradesh and it would be a great homage to Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Amedkar on the occasion of his 125th Birth Anniversary.
A function was organized by Sri Hari Hara Kshetram, Sri Siva Sai Charitable Trust and Valimiki (BOYA) Joint Action Committee of Andhra Pradesh at Boyapalem, Prathipadu Mandal, Guntur,District Andhra Pradesh . On this occasion Dr. Atwal spoke about the great contribution made by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar to uplift the weaker section of the society. He stressed upon the need to get education and for the improvement of education system. Dr. Ambedkar made such provisions in the constitution of India through which a common man had the opportunity for equal rights. Throughout of his life he struggle against the evil of untochability. Dr. Atwal while addressing a big gathering stressed upon the need to make improvement in primary education system, to provide right education, equal opportunities and uniform syllabus. Without a solid base of education no nation could progress Dr Atwal added. Shri Ramule, MP Karnataka, K. Sreenivasulu M.L.A, Sh. Jagdishwar Coordinator of Joint Action Committee and N.R. Narain General Secretary Valmiki Foundation New Delhi shared their views.
