Maneka Gandhi Remains Mum On Several Important Issues During Her Visit To Land Of Martyrs

The Union Cabinet Minister Maneka Gandhi pays floral tribute at the Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala, near Ferozepur.

Ferozepur, June 1, 2015: During her visit to land of martyrs, Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi left no stone unturned in blowing the trumpet of Narender Modi led NDA government and claimed that the NDA have accomplished which congress could not achieve in 50 years.

While talking to the media persons, Maneka Gandhi openly expressed her views on vital issues like One Rank One Pension (OROP), Land Acquisition Bill, Foreign Police, and Black Money and other issues. She said that congress is making unnecessary fuss about Land Acquisition Bill and is trying to portray this bill as “Anti Farmer”. “We have not made any final decision on the bill, after consulting with the committee which will give its valuable suggestions on the bill”, she added. Meanwhile, she praised the Prime Minister’s decision to initiate novel efforts for the farmers including soil card scheme, farmer news channel and insurance of the farmers. She strongly denied any discrimination between Gujrat based farmers and farmers belonging to the other region, especially Punjab. “Whatever schemes we are initiating, are for the farmers of whole country”, she added.

On OROP, she said that the Prime Minister is committed to introduce the scheme. “We need some time however the government is working on it”, she further added.

While talking about the foreign policy of NDA and regular foreign visits of Prime Minister Narender Modi, she said that the India’s stature in world community has increased drastically due to policies adopted by Modi. “We have also improved our relations with our neigbours including Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldiv, Bangladesh. However, we are making consistent efforts to improve our relations with China and Pakistan too. But it’s a bilateral process”, she added.

However, the cabinet minister remained refrained on important issues like construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Section 370, bringing back the “Black Money” and FDI.

Earlier, the Union Cabinet Minister also paid floral tribute at the Martyrs Memorial. Meanwhile, Maneka Gandhi inaugurated an exhibition showing achievements during one year by Narender Modi led NDA Government.
