Ferozepur , April 14, 2013: On the information of Army Intelligence to the police, 37 training bombs were recovered from Basti Bhattian Wali (Bharat Nagar), Ferozepur City from the godown of junk dealer, said Jasbir Singh, SHO, Ferozepur City Police Station.
SHO said, a secret information was received by the Army Intelligence that some bombs are lying in the godown of a junk dealer near the petrol pump and on conducting the search operation in the designated godown of Surinder Kumar junk dealer, by taking all the safety measures, 37 bombs of TPT 8 mm, were found in the bag lying in the godown. He further said that the bomb disposal team will disclose as to whether these bombs are live or already exposed and at present, nothing can be said about these bombs.
On the other hand, the owner of the godown, Surinder Kumar, junk dealer said, he does not know about the bombs and some hawker had sold this as junk to the workers in the godown.
