Lance Naik Nachhattar Singh being cremated with full Military Honours.
Jalandhar, May 2, 2015: Lance Naik Nachhattar Singh cremated, today, in his native village Munda Pind, Tehsil Khadur Sahi, District Amritsar (Punjab) with full military honours. Brig Kunal Kashyap, a brigade commander laid wreaths on the body of martyr alongwith other military officer and Jawans. Among other dignitaries, SDM, Khadur Sahib, Ravinder Singh and DSP, Khadur Sahib, Jasbir Singh were also attended the funeral ceremony.
Lance Naik Nachhattar Singh was performing the duties of convoy protection in the inhospitable terrain from Uri to Srinagar on 30 April 2015. The individual met with an accident while performing duties in the service of Nation in Counter Insurgency area in Jammu & Kashmir. He upholds the tradition of the Indian Army in true spirit by placing the service of the Nation before self.
He is survived by wife Sarabajit Kaur and a daughter aged 4 years and son aged 2 years.
