Jalandhar, April 29, 2015: A 12 year old girl Aishwarya Laxmi, student of 8th standard, Army Public School, Ferozepur Cantt, was the first one to site a major fire which started at 5:40 pm on 27 April 2015. She informed Army authorities immediately. Due to her prompt action, fire fighting vehicles of Army and civil administration could control the fire in time and items kept in MES yard could also be saved.
General officer Commanding, Golden Arrow Division, Ferozepur cantt felicitated Aishwarya Laxmi, for her alertness, initiative and presence of mind, at Army Public School, Ferozepur Cantt today. Aishwarya’s father Subedar Santosh who is also working in Ferozepur Cantt praised her brave daughter and felt proud by her action.
