Group Captain Ran Singh.
Jalandhar, April 27, 2015: Group Captain Ran Singh assumed the charge of station Commander Air Force Station Amritsar Cantt today. He has taken over the charge from Group Caption KD Singh, Station Commander, Air Force Station, Amritsar. A formal change of command ceremony was held at base in consonance with service traditions and ethos.
Group Captain Ran Singh was commissioned in IAF as fighter pilot in Dec 1992. He is an alumnus of Defence Service Staff College and has completed Master of Philosophy in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University, Hyderabad. During his illustrious career with Indian Air Force, the officer held many important Staff and Command appointments including command a premier fighter squadron. He has vast experience of flying various combat & training aircraft. Prior to taking over command of 230 SU AF, he has successfully completed Higher Air Command Course at College of Air Warfare.
