Chandigarh, April 3, 2015: The Integrated Agromet Advisory Service Unit of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has predicted possibility of variable or partly clouds from April 4 to 8. Possibilities of variable weather and light rain up to April 5, thereafter dry and clear weather with slightly increase in day temperature.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the University said that the maximum temperature is likely to be between 30 and 34 degree Celsius and minimum between 16 and 20 degree Celsius. The average wind speed would range from five to 10 kilometer per hour.
Keeping in view the possibility of variable weather and light rain, farmers are advised to withheld harvest and threshing of matured crops up to April 5. Farmers have been advised to carry the Tirpal or covered material during transportation of threshed Sarson or mustard to grain market.
Due to rain occurred farmers have been advised to drain out the standing water from the wheat. Possibility of variable weather and light rain, farmers have been advised to withheld harvest and threshing of matured Barley, mustard and gram up to 5th April.
The spokesman said that farmers have been advised to continue the sowing operation of green gram and black gram after April 5. Leafy vegetable, lady’s finger, bottle gourd, cucumber, ridge gourd summer radish to be directly sown with certified seed when become sufficient soil moisture.
Farmers have also been advised to keep animals under sheds due to possibility of dry weather. They have also been advised to provide the cattle or animal 50 grams of Iodized salt and 50 to 100 grams mineral mixture daily along with animal feed or fodder, Barseem, green fodder to keep them healthy.
