World’s largest Battle Of The Bands, Hard Rock rising, enters Phase III

New Delhi, March 5, 2015: For the fifth straight year, Hard Rock Cafe continues its commitment to aspiring musicians by holding a worldwide search for talented bands to showcase on its international stage. Hard Rock Rising, the world’s most far-reaching ‘battle of the bands’ competition is giving the local groups a shot at stardom with an all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona, Spain to compete for the chance to perform at the first-ever Hard Rock Rising Barcelona music festival this summer!
Starting on March 5, Hard Rock Cafe New Delhi & Gurgaon will began a series of live battle events where India’s undiscovered talents will vie for the top spot to represent the city in Hard Rock Rising’s global battle of the bands competition. The votes are in and Facebook fans from around the world have narrowed down more than 10,000 bands to its top competitors with only a select few moving on to the next round of live performances.

The bands are judged by a panel of local industry experts who include Nitin Malik (Parikrama), Ashish Chauhan (Director Survilla academy of Music / Ex Nasya) and Varun Rajput (Ex Nasya / Present - Antariksh) in New Delhi and Gavin Pacheco (EX Faridkot, Present Desi Roots and Gone phishing), Ankur Sabharwal (Veteran music, Ex member of the band Canzona) and Palash Bedi (Producer, Overdrive records) in Gurgaon.
Winner will be chosen from each round to compete in the final local battle on March 26, where judges will select one band to represent Hard Rock Cafe India as they move on to compete against other winners from Hard Rock Cafe locations around the world at Barcelona. The winning local band will get a cash prize of US$1,000.
