Safety Training Programme at RCF

Kapurthala, February 27, 2015: One day Safety Training Programme on General Engineering was organised jointly by Director of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh and Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh at RCF, Kapurthala.  The programme was inaugurated by G.C.Agrawal, CME & Occupier of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.  In keynote address, G.C.Agrawal mentioned that RCF management is quite conscious about the safety and welfare of its employees.  He emphasised in his message that safety in every field of work should be observed by adopting standing safe procedures and using safety gadgets/PPEs without hurried style.
In training programme, 60 supervisors and technicians of RCF participated.  Presentations were given by experts on Welding Safety, Fire Safety and Electrical Safety.  Presentation on General Safety was given by guest faculty Dwarka Dass, Assistant Director of Factories, Jalandhar.
During the Valedictory session, Kashmir Singh, Joint Director of Factories, Punjab, Devendra Kumar, CWE/Shell & Factory Manager/RCF and C.S.Lamba, Deputy CME(M)/RCF distributed certificates to all participants.
Kashmir Singh, Joint Director of Factories, Punjab in his address stressed upon to improve safety culture in the factory.  He urged that safety system can only be achieved by strong will power of individuals and their team work. The safe system can be maintained by the collective efforts as well as co-ordination of all.
The programme conclude with the vote of thanks given by Narinder Kumar, WM/M & TTC who acknowledged with gratitude the contribution of Director of Factories and Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh in strengthening the safety environment in RCF, Kapurthala.
