CBI arrests a Director of DGS&D and principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya in separate cases of bribery

New Delhi, January 21, 2015: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Director(Registration) working in the office of Directorate General of Supplies & Disposal, New Delhi for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from the Complainant.

A case was registered on the allegations that the Director(Registration) working in the Office of the Directorate General of Supplies & Disposal, New Delhi under Ministry of Commerce and Industry was demanding a bribe of Rs. 15000 for issuing Registration certificate for a Ghaziabad based private firm.

CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 15000 from the complainant in his Office. Searches are being conducted at the residence of the accused at Vaishali & Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh)

The arrested accused will be produced tomorrow in the Designated Court at Delhi.

In another case, the CBI has arrested a Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, BSF Mandor Area, Jodhpur for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 2000 from the Complainant.

A case was registered on 20.01.2015 against Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, BSF, Jodhpur

Under Section 7 of PC Act 1988, on the basis of a complaint alleging that the Principal had demanded bribe of Rs.2100 for preparing complainant’s salary and issue a cheque for the month of December, 2014. Later on, the Principal agreed to accept bribe of Rs. 2000/-. CBI laid a trap and the Principal was caught red handed at his official residence while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.2000 from the Complainant. During search at his residential premises, a cash amount of Rs. 70,000; 09 files/documents incriminating to the allegations of the case & pertaining to investment in immovable assets at Jodhpur & Bikaner and NSCs/bonds/expenditure have been recovered.

The arrested accused was produced today before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jodhpur and remanded to Police Custody for 03 days. (SK Vyas/Jalandhar)
