PM to launch 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme in Panipat on Jan 22

New Delhi, December 27, 2014: The Prime Minister,  Narendra Modi, will launch ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ Programme in Panipat on January 22 next. Under this programme, a massive campaign would be run for the welfare and safety of girls

This was disclosed by the Chief Minister,  Manohor Lal, while presiding over a meeting of officers of district in Bhiwani, on Friday. The declining sex ratio in Haryana and the country is a cause of concern and the programme would seek to correct the imbalance, the Chief Minister added.       

The Chief Minister made it clear that corruption would not be tolerated .He directed the officers to discharge their duties honestly and work for the upliftment of the society. He said that every person should get benefitted with schemes..

In the meeting, he directed to provide canal water on time, to complete the recovery of pending electricity bills with the help of people and prepare a list of those people without adhar cards and provide identity cards to them. Also, the Chief Minister directed to prepare list of aided schools so as to have a clear graph of education system in the district. The Chief Minister directed to repair the level of Sanga and Mandhana Miner within two months to provide irrigation water to farmers.

He said that any citizen could get his complaint or FIR registered in any police station. He directed Superintendent of Police, Ashwin Shenvi to publize this scheme. Also, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Saket Kumar to get survey done of toilets being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna and Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan in five villages at a time at block level. He said that efforts should be made to provide more services in villages having population over 10,000 in the district. He urged the power officials to reduce line loses and spread awareness among people to ensure recovery.

The Chief Minister said that it is mandatory for pensioners to open bank accounts latest by December 31 so as to provide them pension through banks. Also, he directed to put up board with details of expenditure on bricks, sand, gravel, iron bars, labour etc in various development works so as to apprise the people with every work.

Agriculture Minister, O.P. Dhankar, Member of Parliament,  Dharamvir Singh, MLAs namely  Ghanshyam Das Saraf,  Sukhvinder Mandhi and M Bishamber Valmiki and senior officers of other departments were also present on this occasion.
