Dharamsala, December 9, 2014: “All the pending cases of demarcation and division of land matters in Himachal shall be covered in the next six months,” said Koul Singh Thakur, Health and Family welfare Minister of Himachal in the Assembly at Dharamsala on Tuesday. He was replying to the question of BJP MLAs Inder Singh, Vijay Agnihotri and Rikhi Ram Koundal. Minister said that 564 Patwari posts were vacant during the previous BJP lead government, and now congress government made arrangements to give 768 new Patrawis, whose 2 years training is on. He said that after 2 years no Patwar office will be locked due to non availability of this official.
Minister said that to make alternate arrangements, revenue department has re employed few revenue officers to cover the gap of two years till the joining of trained staff. He said that if government received any complaint about these re-employed staff, the person proved guilty may be terminated by the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
